Sailor's Sister (Petionville) wins Dr. O G Fischer Memorial Handicap

Sailors Sister became stakes winner number three for Petionville in 2009, with a determined score in the Dr. O G Memorial Handicap on Sunday. Breaking from off the pace, Sailor Sister stalked the pace in the 7-furlong event and made a bid at the top of the lane. She quickly came on even terms with the pacestter and gradually eased past to win by a half length. This was Sailor's Sister fist start since finishing 3rd in the Valid Expectation Stakes.

Petionville is currently ranked 20th in the nation by progeny earnings and 6th by repeat winners.
