Divisidero, Solid Appeal & Grand Arch to Run on Derby Undercard

Margaux training grads DivisideroSolid Appeal, and Grand Arch will run in graded stakes on the Derby undercard Saturday, May 2.

Owned by Gunpowder Farms and trained by Buff Bradley, Divisidero will make his third lifetime start on Saturday in the American Turf S. (G2). The three-year-old son by Kitten's Joy finished a nice third last out in the Palm Beach S. (G3) at Gulfstream Park, where he closed well after a run in with traffic early on. Hoping for a better trip, Divisidero will have regular jockey Rafael Hernandez aboard. Post time is 1:19 p.m. EDT.

Multiple graded stakes winner and Sovereign Award 2013 Champion Grass Mare, Solid Appeal, makes her next start in the Churchill Distaff Turf Mile S. (G2). Trained by Reade Baker and owned by Jim & Susan Hill, six-year-old Solid Appeal returns for her fifth race season and second start of the year. Post time for the event is 2:59 p.m. EDT.   

After winning his first start of the year in an allowance race at Keeneland, Grand Arch is ready to face his foes in a tough field for the Grade 1 Woodford Reserve Turf Classic S. With jockey Rafael Hernandez aboard, Grand Arch will continue his quest to capture a Grade 1 win. His career highlights include a second place finish to Wise Dan in the Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile, and a win in the Grade 2 King Edward S. at Woodbine.
