Margaux Farm training graduate Oscar D made a successful return to the races on June 17, capturing Race 7 at Horseshoe Indianapolis in impressive front-running fashion.
Making his first start since breaking his maiden last September, the son of Lexingtonian broke alertly, seized command early, and never looked back. Under a confident ride, Oscar D drew clear in the stretch to score by 3 1/2 lengths.
A homebred for Joseph and Stacy Hickman, Oscar D is trained by Robert E. Dobbs, Jr. Following his maiden victory last fall, he spent the winter at Margaux Farm, where he continued his preparation before returning to the races this summer.
The June 17 allowance victory marked a strong start to his 2026 campaign and showcased the benefit of patience, with Oscar D returning from the layoff in top form.
