Luster Earns First Graded Stakes Victory in G3 Selene Stakes

Margaux Farm training graduate Luster earned her first graded stakes victory on June 27 with an impressive score in the $150,000 Grade 3 Selene Stakes at Woodbine.

The 3-year-old daughter of Knicks Go settled comfortably off the pace before unleashing a strong late rally to capture the 1 1/16-mile contest over the all-weather surface by 1 3/4 lengths for trainer Josie Carroll and owners Gainesway Stable (Antony Beck) and Andrew Rosen.

Purchased for $80,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, Luster spent her first winter developing at Margaux Farm before returning to the racetrack earlier this year. Following an eight-month layoff, she made an immediate impact with an allowance victory at Keeneland before stepping up in stakes company to finish third in the Ruling Angel Stakes at Woodbine in May.

Her breakthrough performance in the Selene Stakes continued an exciting upward trajectory, pushing her career earnings to $172,390.

Everyone at Margaux Farm is proud to have played a role in Luster's early development and congratulates her connections on a well-earned graded stakes victory. We look forward to following her continued success throughout the season.
