Margaux Farm training graduate Andthewinneris added another victory to his accomplished career on August 16 at Ellis Park, powering clear to win a $104,000 allowance optional claiming race by 2 3/4 lengths.
With Florent Geroux aboard, the six-year-old gelding settled just off the early leader before applying pressure approaching the far turn. He took command with five-sixteenths of a mile remaining and drove clear through the stretch, completing the 1 1/4 miles on turf in 1:58.61.
A multiple graded stakes winner with more than $600,000 in career earnings, Andthewinneris has now compiled five wins, two seconds and three thirds from 20 starts. The son of Oscar Performance out of the Scat Daddy mare Run Like the Boss was trained for the victory by Wayne Catalano for owner Susan Naylor.
